FAQ’s

Will my insurance cover treatment?

We will verify your insurance benefits, but the quote we receive is not a guarantee from your insurance company of payment. However, our experienced staff will meet with you to explain your insurance coverage, help with any scheduling issues for your upcoming visits, and answer any questions you may have.

Am I going to get any treatment on my first visit?

Usually on your first visit, your time is spent identifying and evaluating your problems. A physical therapist will take an extensive history of your symptoms. You will be asked to undergo testing and measurements so we can identify and determine appropriate treatment methods. Your first visit usually lasts about an hour and others last 30-90 minutes, depending on your needs.

What kind of treatment am I going to get?

This depends on your diagnosis. Although every case is different, we will use our expertise, tools, and equipment to evaluate your condition and provide the necessary means for getting you better. Treatments may include aquatic therapy, manual techniques, modalities, and an exercise program.

Will I get better?

Yes, in most cases you can expect a recovery with minimal to no symptoms. Most people do improve with physical therapy, but your outcome will depend on your symptoms. We will work along with you and supply the treatments and exercises needed to help restore your condition and provide strategies so that you may manage your symptoms.

Is this going to hurt?

Nothing we do should cause you a great deal of pain. However, it is common to have some soreness or discomfort following evaluations and treatments. Nevertheless, in most cases, the soreness or discomfort lessens as you continue your treatment. It is important that you communicate to your therapist any changes in the amount of pain.

How long will I have to come?

It varies depending on your symptoms. Most people show improvement within 12 visits. At times, this involves three (3) visits per week. As you improve, this frequency can be reduced as appropriate.

Will therapy help prevent a future injury?

During your treatment you will be instructed in home exercises specific to your condition. These exercises can help to reduce any additional risk of injury. You may also be educated on new functional activities or different ways of doing activities that may also reduce your risk of future symptoms.

Can I go to any physical therapy clinic?

You have the right to choose whichever physical therapy provider that you want to go too.
